OFFICIAL OPERATION OF NOF TECHNOLOGY LINE (DESIGN CAPACITY OF 400,000 TONS/YEAR) AND PRODUCTION OF FIRST COMMERCIAL STEEL SHEET COIL AT HOA SEN NGHE AN PLANT IN DONG HOI INDUSTRIAL ZONE

The launch ceremony of the first commercial steel sheet coil of Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant in Dong Hoi 

Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant in Dong Hoi Industrial Zone was commenced on June 19, 2015 on an area of ​​45 hectares. After nearly one year of great efforts to accelerate the construction progress, the phase 01 is totally completed with the total cost of construction and installation equipment at about VND 1,000 billion. It is expected in June that, the 02 remaining lines of phase 01 will be put into operation, including: 01 color coating line with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year and 01 slitting line with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year.

Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant in Dong Hoi Industrial Zone was commenced on June 19, 2015

Galvanizing line with NOF technology (Non oxidizing furnace) plays a key role in the overall plant capacity of Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant. This production line produces two products which are galvanized steel sheets and aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel sheets. This is the most advanced galvanizing line in Vietnam and South East Asia, producing superior quality and aesthetics steel sheet products satisfying a wide range of standards such as ASTM A792 in the United States, AS 1397 in Australia, JIS G 3321 in Japan, EN 10346 in Europe and rigorous standards in other strict export markets.

At present, Hoa Sen Plant has started phase 02 with the construction of workshops and installation of production lines including: 01 cold rolling line with a capacity of 400,000 tons/year; 01 pickling line with a capacity of 800,000 tons per year; 01 edge cutting line with a capacity of 400,000 tons/year; 02 axis grinding machines with a capacity of 12 rolls per day. It is expected that by the beginning of 2017, pickling line with the said capacity will be put into operation and by May 2017, all remaining items of phase 02 will be completed and put into operation.

As stresses by Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Party Committee at the ceremony, the production of the first commercial steel sheet coil by Hoa Sen Nghe An Plant in Dong Hoi Industrial Zone marked the new development of Hoa Sen Group in Nghe An. This result also showed strong determination of the leaders of Hoa Sen Group and Nghe An Province to put the project into production, running in the right schedule; and to create confidence for investors as well. Along with Hoa Sen Plant in Nam Cam Industrial Park, Hoa An Nghe An Plant in Dong Hoi Industrial Zone will contribute to the creation of jobs, local labor income, increase in revenue for the state budget as well as promote socio-economic development of Nam Thanh – Bac Nghe region.
