Accompanying the New Year Program for the Poor Spring Canh Ty 2020 of the People’s Public Security Newspaper, Hoa Sen Group supported 600 million VND, gave Tet gifts to the poor in Nghe An and Ben Tre provinces.
Continuing the program “Tet for the poor – Happy New Year of Spring Canh Ty 2020”, on January 11, the People’s Public Security Newspaper, Hoa Sen Group, the representative of Mr. Luu Quoc Cuong’s charity group- Mr. Luu Quoc Quyen, Quoc Quyen Electric Wire Private Enterprise (Ho Chi Minh City) coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre province, Party committees and local authorities to give Tet gifts to families of poor, near-poor households, the lonely old people in Chau Thanh District.
Receiving the delegation from the early morning, Comrade Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee squeezed the hands of members of the delegation, sending good wishes, thanking the Editorial Board of the People’s Public Security Newspaper, Hoa Sen Group presented practical Tet gifts to the people.
The Tet gifts become even more meaningful when Ben Tre province is aiming for activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ben Tre Dong Khoi Day (January 17, 1960 – January 17, 2020), associated with the 100th anniversary of Birthday Hero of the People’s Armed Forces – Female General Nguyen Thi Dinh.

Less than 2 weeks until the Lunar New Year, along the country roads in the country of Coconut, people are busy repairing, cleaning and decorating their houses to welcome Tet. These days, people gather yellow apricot leaves to bloom on the Lunar New Year. On the country roads, many apricot branches have blossomed, signaling the coming of spring.
Colonel Tran Thanh Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Public Security Newspaper – Deputy Director of Communications Department (Ministry of Public Security); Mr. Tran Dinh Tai, Marketing Director – representative of Hoa Sen Group and the delegation were touched when they directly came to the families to hand-deliver Tet gifts to two policy households in Tuong Da commune, the family of Mr. Nguyen. Thanh Thao – Mrs. Le Thi Tu and Mr. Huynh Van Huon.
The Tet gift was given to the family of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thao and Mrs. Le Thi Tu.
“These are two policy households with meritorious services to the revolution and martyr worship. The delegation directly going to the house to give gifts and wish Tet are precious sentiments, embellishing the revolutionary tradition, expressing the spirit of “when drinking water, remember its source” of the forefathers,” said the leader of Tuong Da Commune People’s Committee.
Mr.Nguyen Thanh Thao – Mrs. Le Thi Tu are more than 90 years old and still quite lucid. When receiving Tet gifts from Colonel Tran Thanh Phong and Mr. Tran Dinh Tai, both were moved to express their gratitude to the Delegation and the local Party Committee for their dedication and precious sentiments.

In Chau Thanh district, 120 Tet gifts were given to people in 8 communes: Tan Phu, An Hiep, Tuong Da, Son Hoa, Tien Long, Phu Tuc, Thanh Trieu, and Tien Thuy. Mr. Pham Xuan Thi, living in Tuong Da commune – the representative of the household receiving the gift, thanked the Editorial Board of the People’s Public Security Newspaper, the leaders of Hoa Sen Group for giving meaningful gifts to people in the coming Spring days.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre province said: Over the past years, Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Front at all levels have paid great attention and care to the poor, people facing difficulties and tribulations in life with the joint contribution of organizations and individuals and businesses inside and outside the province, taking care of families with policies and work on poverty reduction and social security. However, Ben Tre still has certain difficulties.

“Ben Tre province is in an area that often suffers from natural disasters, heavily affected by climate change, sea level rise and saline intrusion. Every time a natural disaster passes, many houses and properties are washed away, crops and supplies are affected, and the number of poor households that have been in difficulty is now even more difficult. Many households that escaped poverty can now return to poverty,” said Mr. Linh.

In addition to 120 Tet gifts given to people in Chau Thanh district, the remaining 480 Tet gifts continue to be delivered to policy families and poor households in Ben Tre province. The delegation also hopes that families will continue to strive with the attention of the Party, State, and community to continue to achieve economic development and escape poverty sustainably.
“With their love, the Editorial Board of the People’s Public Security Newspaper, Hoa Sen Group has supported 600 gifts worth 300 million VND to give gifts to disadvantaged policy families and poor households to welcome Spring Canh Ty 2020. The Tet gifts contribute to encouraging and sharing with the people, together with the police and local authorities to take care of everyone who has Tet, in the spirit of “good leaves protect torn leaves”.
At this time, the delegations of the People’s Public Security Newspaper also brought thousands of gifts to the poor in the Northwest, Central Highlands, Central and Southwestern provinces and cities.

On January 8, 600 gifts worth 300 million VND were given to poor households in 4 communes Quynh Lap, Quynh Loc, Quynh Vinh, Quynh Trang, Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province.
